We will consider the direct code entry method because it involves entering the four-digit codes listed below. The steps include the following.

Make sure you have fresh batteries in the remote control.
Turn on the device you want to pair with the remote.
Press and hold the component key corresponding with that device (TV, DVD, Blu-ray, DVR, etc.). The LED should turn and remain on.
